The obverse of a ceremonial medal from 1631
A medal minted in 1631 celebrating the ministry of Richelieu. The text reads 'Mens Sidera Volvit'; literally 'His mind revolves the stars' - or 'It seems he can almost anticipate the future in the celestial destiny'.
